Seduction (6.juuli 2012)
Lying here in our passion's wake,
Sublime and good to taste,
Entranced, entangled,
Spellbound by sweeter dangers.
Knowing what's at stake,
All the more enticing by taste.
Reputations, emotions,
Learn the price of expectations.
Love, my dear,
is beyond us mortals.
Such arrogance we emit,
when we believe to have conquered it.
Changing companions for lack of a fit,
when it might be ourselves who need to be fixed.
Like fine wine they pass my lips,
Words picked with utmost care,
From the garden of seduction,
To capture unassuming souls.
Perhaps more often that not,
We play games to see how far,
How far we get before we're caught,
In the velvet grasp of flattery.
And in this hour of recognition,
Like a phoenix, I've met my demise.
The fire will consume all.
Spellbound by sweeter dangers still.
